A Table for Kids

The holidays are fun for everyone, especially kids.  Although it is a challenge for children to sit still throughout a holiday dinner, setting a perfect table just for them will help create an atmosphere they can both enjoy and participate in.

Paper boat name tags, as shown to the right, can be assembled  with ease and they make a great addition to the kids' table at thanksgiving.

Use these templates to make the paper boat name tags.

A fun centerpiece can be added to the children's table and can double as a dish full of nuts, fruit, candy, or whatever you wish to tuck inside.

Just use this template to make a pilgrim boat such as the Mayflower, and the kids will have fun pretending they have just landed on Plymouth Rock in a new world!

Dressing up a napkin can make a world of difference in a
          theme
table setting.  In this instance, it can be worn as a
headdress, also.  In a 28-inch length of twill tape,  Puncture a
small hole and insert a feather (available at craft stores and
florists shops) and secure with a stitch.  With the feather in the
middle of a napkin, tie the tape gently behind the napkin.
