(Metro) -- If you're
in the mood for subtle, sensual appeal, then try fashions that appeal to
the girl inside, like these from Behnaz Sarafpour.
Sarafpour is an
Iranian-born designer who climbed the ladder of success after her
graduation from Parsons School of Design. She has worked for Anne Klein,
Isaac Mizrahi and Barney's private label. Famed fashion journalist Anna
Wintour predicted that Sarafpour would be "the next big thing," and
after such a gleaming review, fashionistas took notice of her
collections.
Sarafpour's designs
have been described as bringing romanticism to the modern age. She is
known for her delicate lacework and simple lines, which give her
clothing a slightly ethereal feel. However, recent collections have been
decidedly more sexy.
Last year, Sarafpour
paid homage to the highly popular television cult sensation "Sex and the
City" by dressing a replica of Sarah Jessica Parker for Barney's Sex and
the City-themed holiday window. If you didn't know of Sarafpour before
then, you certainly must now!
Silky and sleek,
these delicate gowns in silver and gold are the perfect holiday
trimmings. Embellished with just a touch of butterfly-shaped lace,
they're sweet, but sexy. Photos by Froylan Flowers.
