New Looks for Old Favorites

Rich colors and a variety of textures give wreaths and garlands a new look while keeping the traditional spirit intact.  The use of berries, in a variety of colors, can add depth to the standard evergreen or pine wreath.  Or for something completely different, look for a wreath or garland made entirely from dried fruits and berries.
Add as touches to existing garlands, combine with ribbons, lace, and other fabrics or use on their own.

The garland below combines dried flowers with berries on a bed of greens to bring life to an old favorite.  The dried flowers can be any variety or any color.  If using an all white theme for your decorations, consider using a garland of white lace, dried white roses, and baby's breath to create decorations that whisper holiday spirit.

Keeping with a more traditional look doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice trying new things.  Adding nuts and pine cones, varieties of twigs and branches, all will add texture and depth to the standard pine garland.

Adding color to pots of flowers can be as simple as adding cranberries to a pot of Paperwhites.  Or colorful lace to the base of the pot. .
