Don't
want to throw out those old Christmas cards? It is easy to
construct ornaments from those cards that you can keep for many
years to come. Cut out twenty circles using the decorative parts
of the cards. Use smaller circles to make small ornaments
and larger circles for large ornaments. Using the same size
cut out a circle on a piece of cardboard. Draw a triangle
with the corners touching the edges of the circle. Cut out
and trace onto the back of all twenty circles. Fold along
the lines and using glue join two flaps together from two circles,
making sure that the triangles are pointing in the same direction.
Using this method, attach three more circles together. This
will be the top. Repeat the process to make the bottom.
With the remaining ten circles, glue flaps together, alternating
the points of the triangle. glue the last two flaps together
to make a ring. Now glue the top and bottom flaps to
the flaps of this middle section. Make a small hole and hang
from thread (silver or gold works well). |
