Directions:
Cut dried fruit into bite-size pieces.
Combine dried fruit, apple juice, and nutmeg in a medium
saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer covered
for 10 minutes or until fruit is soft.
Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water. Add to fruit
mixture. Heat while stirring until thickened and bubbly.
Continue to heat for 2 minutes.
Stir in brown sugar and vanilla. Serve warm with the
pastry or biscuit of your choice.
